Eagle 4340 H-beam rods & 4340 Eagle crank
What do you guys think is the maximum punishment the Eagle 4340 stuff can handle ? I know my initial target of 700 rwhp should be fine, but I'm wondering if the wick is turned up and you put down in the neighborhood of 900 to 1000 rwhp will the Eagle 4340 stuff take the punishment over and over. I'm asking because I really don't want to put the extra money into the Callies crank (dragonslayer) and rods if its not needed ? Kit will consist of a 355 CI LT1 with OFI A2W (1000hp version), 3.5" DP with a T6 S80. I'm thinking my initial goal of 700 rwhp will be no problem, just wondering if I turn up the boost (20-22 lbs) and really lean on the S80 it should make 900 plus rwhp, I would think ?

you will nevr have an issue with any eagle stuff unless you make 1500+++ HP. never heard of anyone breaking an eagle rod with L19 hardware. never been done unless improperly installed. eagles are made out of the same materials other rods are made from. hints the (4340). I'm not 100% sure but me myself, i believe all the H beam connecting rods from most of the companys are made in the same place. notice how callies/howards/eagle/compstar and more of the Hbeams rods look exactly the same to the T. eagle = the most common and as far as im conserned the best

Do you think there is a difference between the LS1 / LT1 Eagle 4340 H-beam. I've heard that Rick Intrau (sp ?) with his 398 LT1 Turbo car ran the Eagle crank & rods (4340) and I believe that car put down 1250 ish ? Just what I was told, anybody want to speculate on that info ?
