Potential problems??
What kind of problems should i expect to face with a 94 trans-am GT M6 with 108K on the clock? What are things i should look for mechanically?
on a scale of 1-10 10 being "**** it, take it to a shop." how hard is it to instal a new opti

-Intake manifold leaking oil
-Water pump
-Opti
-Possibly plugs and wires
-clutch
As said above, the opti's not hard to replace, just takes some time. If you don't know how old the water pump is, I would recommend changing it out as well.

whole tranny was redone at 60K.. not sure on paperwork but i'm gonna get all i can on that. It doesn't leak oil at all.. its sat in the same spot for 2 years but washed every weekend (so she says) i know for sure its sat a while because there are webs under the front bumper and the concrete stays white around where the tires are from armor-all.. it wont even get wet, the water beads off (it rained while i was there looking at it.)
thanks for your help

Oh and while im at it and still partly awake. Slow window motors/headlight motors are pretty common on these cars afaik. Being a camaro, I doubt youll have many problems with the headlight motors though.

When cars sit without being driven , it can damage. Things that would stay oiled normally dont. I am pretty sure your opti bearings can go if it sits that long along with other things.

Then yes, check the headlight motors for any grinding. You'll know if they go bad, its the most annoying sound ever.
Check your serpentine belt ahnd hoses too. Typical tune up stuff should getthe car running nicely.

it got driven every weekend to the carwash and back.. thats it. It fired right up when i suprize visited the lady. Everything it stock down to the paper. The headliner is completly new and it needs the support staffs for the hatch. How much are those gonna hurt my pocket?
i checked all the lights and stuff no noises but i dont remember if they popped up when i turned the parking lights on. All of the lights work except for a fog light.. no biggy i want to change those out to UV
a tune-up it is!
