Looked like a 13 something time, not that bad. Maybe somebody w/ some skills could zoom in on the times to make sure.

try a 13.9 not good.... I hear all these " Stock LS1" stories, hell that was an LS2 GTO man... there was another guy running a C6 ran a 14.2 @110 and then a 13.2 @110.. a WS6 with lid, Exhaust, who knows what else...13.1
I know thye'r eout there but for the last few years I have YET to see one at Atco or E-town... maybe the driver "mod" is hurting them?? I don't know.. even on DR's..

These things are not easy to launch. I'm sure his/her 60's was not the best thus killing his/her ET. Also TM is another factor on an untuned car which will kill ET's. Everyone has bad runs and good runs. Though only the driver knows the real story, so why come on here bitching about someone else's 1/4 mile time?

Also it looked like 13.4 to me. Either way it's a decent time if it's stock or close to stock.

Did you catch anymore runs by that car? Im not making excuses, but I think even you would agree that its not the car thats getting those times but the driver. Plus, even in the drivers defense, maybe he just had a bad run. Nobody is perfect.

I thought you guys would get a kick out of that... I don't G.A.S. about the car, I don't think he ran better than a 13.7 and that run was a 13.9 @107 or 109, something like that.. his 60's were 2.0x on the runs I saw.. Driver mod... big,big key... anyway, there was a fast 5.7 GTO there.. Silver, Heads.Cam.Intake,Gears (3.91's) Vig3600, exhaust whole deal, running 11.67 I have a vid I'll upload that one in a bit.. I know thye're hard to launch, but they aint harder than A FWD GXP with 323+TQ... been there and done that with 2.00 60's..Sucks, at least you guys have RWD...(like I do as well, thank God for Mickey Thompson!)

Not me. I live in Houston, Atco is in NJ or something. We just picked the car up yesterday, no track visits yet.

definately needs the Driver Mod. anything above a 13.2 in a LS2 is lame. maybe should have started out in a little car and worked his way up. some think you just spend the cash and push the gas. not so

Its all about the launch. I think most people think you've got to burn rubber off the line. I can't belive how many shitty drivers are out there.

I think that is a new member, and a new member on LS1GTO.com. Still getting used to the car.

That did look like a bad loss. I was pissed when my exhaust only car lost to a 12.4 second Neon STR-4 with stage 3 and slicks.

Everyone has there good and bad days. I was up at NED with kurt and a bunch of other gto's and struggled to get my car out of the 14's and high 13's. But just getting better at driving i have cut my times down to 13.31 at 107 at 3986lb race weight. Thats not too bad i dont think.

here's the GTO that ran 11.67 @117+ I think.. like I said before, he was just getting used to his new 3600Vig, and his trans was short shifting, so he'll probably get another .2 or so out of it..

some people just suck at launching, hence the rason i have my auto. i DESTROYED a new Z06 the last time i was at the track. i ran an 11.7 to his 14.5. i thought it would be a good race till the guy HORRIBLY messed up the launch. must have been daddys car, cause he sure as hell couldnt drive it

Ill take the hit on this one. It is my car..

My first time at the track with the new car and my first pass in it. I ran a 13.9 @ 102 with a 2.25 60 ft. I havent raced a m6 car in 10 years and I only had 300 miles on the car so I had no seat time as atco is 125 miles from my house. Enough of excuses though

I went back 2 weeks later and ran 13.2@106 with 1000 miles on it witha 2.02 60 ft .So its defintly geting better. Dropped 7 tenths with 700 miles of driving. So far I have a total of 5 passes on the car . Race weight was 3980

Thanks I really shouldnt have sold my 10 sec 01 z28 and get this rocket ship . I guess I couldnt handle that either. :) .

I have added a few new mods to the car since those passes with more on the way. Maby Ill run a 12.5 next time out. :chug:

Hopefully when i hit a few thousand more miles i wont be as lame

BTW thanks TonyGXP for throwing me under the bus. I was just happy to get a good video of the car. It was going so slow there is lots of footage.

The only way to get better is to go out and do it. Sure I cant drive it yet but If I dont do it i would never get any better :drive:

Damn offaxis....coming back with four hits in a row!!

All I gotta say is I'm not the best or worst driver in the world...but when I go to the track I just worry about having fun and keeping my car in one piece. Most of the tracks around me are prepped so poorly anyways....I'm lucky to get a 2.2 coming out of that hole. Nice job getting down to a 13.2, better than I've done in my Goat that's for sure. Ah, who cares.....real racing is done from a 30 mph roll anyways......right?? :burn:

I was at the track and saw you run. Didn't you run a 14 something on one pass (not ragging on ya)? That's a nice ride.

Nope no 14s, from what offaxis told me, he only made one other pass and it ended up being the same because the clutch hung up and slipped straight to the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift.

No 14`s just 2 13.9`s . The second pass would have been faster then the first but as posted i had clutch issue. I probly should have waited till a had a few more miles and it was broken in before hitting the track. I would scan the slips but I dont want to warm up the scanner for them. :)
