Sweet ride, front end needs to come down some.
Not a fan of it starting life as a 6 banger (like my Z28 badges :D) but you can pick those cars up CHEAP with high miles.
Very nice

This was a local Lubbock car, original owner was Tracy Dennis of Sunset Racecraft who does our current engine machining. The 430ci motor isn't in the car yet but there will be more pics of progress soon. :)
Being a 6 cylinder car doesn't really matter anymore, it was bought brand new for this work to be done, hence the ~170miles on the odometer. It was raced a season or two with a 380ci SBC, which isn't the type of motors we do, the LS1 swap should fit nicely with our type of racing.

What size frame rails did you use on that one? What size wheels and tires? Did you get that from SW Racecars or was it fabbed in house? I have a ton of questions.

What's up Ryan! Nope it wasn't wrecked. The car hasn't had many passes on it since it was built. It's almost done now though. I'll try to get some pics of it up with the motor in it! :)

The car was running. We made a total of 3 shakedown passes and 2 good passes before cracking the block. It went a 5.75 in a 150 pill in the 1/8th. At the same race we drew the number 1 qualifier first round who went 5.13. Long story short, we pilled up, set it on the bumper, killed the pan and block. :bang:

Hopefully next time we will have more time to tune the suspension before we have to go click off a 5.00 pass to get into the 2nd round! We finished the car the night before and didn't have time to make some adjustments. Between some tuning and wheelie bars, we should be good to go! :)

In Abilene this past weekend. Tore up the oil pan, but no other significant damage. Went 5.75 and 5.80 with traction and N20 issues. This pass sprayed and hooked...

We're temporarily down for a quick block swap to an LSX. I was going to swap to one at the end of this season, but now's a better time after what's taken place. The next Outlaw Pro Street race is July 28th, and we'll have a few shakedown passes under our belt before then. I am going to add a second stage of N2O when the engine goes back in to bring in once the car is moving. We'd like to see some solid 5.30's in the 1/8th.
We'll keep everyone posted! :)

It's good to hear from you Nick! We'll be at the NMCA race with this car, along with our back-halved twin turbo '00 Corvette. :) Stop by the toter & trailer and say hi. You'll also be able to find us at our vendor booth.
I must have bad karma with red Camaros. We still have our '98 Z28 that I put on the bumper twice. :D

It came out of Tennessee, and it has been resurrected from the dead. The only thing that still remains the same on the 'vette is the body. The back-half job was completely ripped out and redone correctly, along with all of the wiring, and the engine and drivetrain has been sold. The new twin turbo kit is in the process of being installed. It'll be awesome once it's finally completed! :)

That car was a 5 second (1/8) daily driven car.You guys gonna hit 4's in it?

We're going to give it a shot eventually. It will definitely be 4-second capable. We're going to ease in to it to give Jason some time to get used to the setup.

I've watched the vidoes of it going mid 5s, but I have no idea how someone could have daily driven it. The 4 link was installed over 1" off from one side to the other, the shock locations were completely different from one side of the car to the other, the posi was junk, the wiring to the car was crazy bad, the 4 link was not completely welded into place, the car overheated when I tried to go around the block in it! I could pretty much tell you so many stories it's not funny. :(
We will be keeping the body, carpet, and one of the turbos though :)
