I have done a search on the web and can't find any other owners of a 1998 Black WS6 Vert. At least in the states ... I found one overseas, but that is it.

Johnny, when you say triple black, that is still gray interior right? I didn't think 98's offered actual black interior.

I don't get what you mean? I was just asking if his came with real black interior or not because I thought the 98's only came in gray.

What a beautiful example of a RARE car! That's a future classic you own yet a blast to own all these years now. Congratulations on keeping it so nice. I have less than 7,000 on mine so I enjoy seeing others do the same as me. Weekend warriors in nice weather only! (I have been caught in the rain though).

I'll answer that for dfreeman in case he doesn't get back to you soon. Triple Black means black top, black car, & BLACK interior. You will see the term for triple white as well. White top, white car, white interior.

You are correct, my car has the "dark grey" or charcoal interior, NOT the true black that came out in '00 (I think). But back when I purchased it, it was as dark as they came, so the dealer who had it advertized it as "triple black", although its really a misnomer now.

THANKS, and same to you! I've been caught in a sprinkle once too. I can probably count the total number of times my wiper blades have swiped across the windshield on one hand. :) Funny thing about using wipers, a month or so ago when I had my '68 Cutlass out (my other fair-weather-only car), I got caught in a sprinkle. I had to turn on my wipers and I had to think to myself when the last time I used the wipers on that car, my best guess was in 1984. :jest: I was just thankful that the rubber on the blades didn't stick to the cowl and leave just the arm to scratch the crap out of the windshield!

Ok, mine is triple black too then :D It sounds so much better anyway! It is def. gray, but I don't know if there was any type of gray offered that year.

How do you have a car that old and with so few miles? 1,611 miles per year?

Do you not like to drive it? :(

Oh, I love driving it, but I refuse to drive it when its wet out or if there's salt on the roads. We are just close enough to Lake Michigan to get the edge of lake effect weather (both rain and snow). That, and a round-trip to work is only 6 miles. No long trips (too small to pack the kids). Its been out-of-state only once in the summer of '99, and that was a disaster (grey-hair t-boned my door in "No-Friggin-Fault" Michigan  ). I really wish I had more time and opportunities to drive it. But it's paid-for so it's not costing much to keep it. I also have 3 other vehicles that I split my driving miles up amongst throughout the year, another fair-weather-only car, and 2 winter "beaters". And the two beaters aren't so bad that I get serious withdrawal symptoms - my '99 Dak R/T and my wife's '00 Lincoln LS8 are both quite engaging to drive.

In 98 you could also get the tan interior. I almost bought one back then. This was an unusual year for the tan interior as the console was also tan instead of black like it is in my 01 with tan interior. The word was the piece on top of the console at the shifter faded very easily and looked mis-matched. So they changed the console to black. In 2000 the new interior color was called ebony, almost black.
