Pontiac GTO 2004-2006 - Aaahhhh!!!!!!!

:barf: sorry guys i gotta vent. i had to take my goat into the shop cause this weekend my slave cylender decided to take a nice big shit! and now i find out that the slaves for the gto are on nationwide backorder!!

and then to top everything else off, my bikes in the shop being painted and i dropped my cell phone and broke it..

so now i have no mode of transportation and no way to call people for rides!! this sucks! :barf:

how cool is your service department??? A f-body or vette slave will work, all they have to do is pop out the pins holding the GTO specific connectors on the GTO slave and slap them on the other... we've done it on a few GTOs now with no problems.

u mean the slaves going bad??? not really, but mine has gone bad....

is this just with ls1 motors?? or are ls2 affected also?? God this is making me think not to modify anything just incase.

Like gotza said, just get an f-body or C5 slave cylinder and swap the connector hoses out. Should be relatively simple to do, pull the parts you need off of your stock one and put them on the new one.

yeah the car is still under warrenty. and i thought u could change it out with any ls1 slave but i didnt know for sure... its all good though. they gave me a rental car so i can get places. and i got my phone fixed. so its all gettin better

I've got an 04' with 18k miles. Not one problem. But, will be changing it when the LS7 clutch goes in. peace of mind.

ok so i found out that the part may not be in till feb 19th!!!! well at least i got a loaner truck!! gives me a vehicle to pick up the bike after the next paint job!!

No the slaves are different from the F-body and Vettes - tell your service dept to use a F-body slave cylinder and just swap the hydraulic line out - it takes like 2 minutes.
