Default Install question

if i can install headers by myself, can i install a water pump by myself with no problem by following the guide on LS1howto.com???? ive got tools but is it easy to do???? im just replacing it with a new stock pump, came with all the gaskets so thats covered and i have rtv high temp silicone.

can prolly do a t-stat while you are in there.

well i dont have the money for that right now since i had to buy a new pump, but how long would it take and also do i just put one full thing of coolant in and then fill the rest up with water???

and do i really need a torque wrench or can i just tighten it down really good???

ive never used a torque wrench to tighten the water pump down and yes with the coolant and the best is to use the gm dexcool you can get from advanced

so about a hour to two hours of work??and all i need basically is a 10mm wrench, 3 inch extension, thread lock and some coolant.

i changed the gaskets on my water pump in about an hour.

do i have to flush the system or just drain it and then do the install and refill??

Flushing it is up to you depending on how many miles are on the car. I have always just drained and refilled.
