Default Pacesetter LTs and MSD wires

i'm sure there's a few of you out there with this setup...so my question is am i in trouble of some melted MSDs? the second plug back on the driver's side, the grey boot is contacting the LT. i just got everything together last night, so haven't been out on the road yet, but under prolonged driving that boot will end up melting right? options?

I run that same setup...just carefully bend the end of the plug wire at the boot so that there is a decent gap between the wires & the headers. You are asking for trouble if the wire sits right on the header.

You can get a boot that goes over it that can withstand 1200 degrees. I got mine from advance or you can order them from summit or jegs.

I'm sure something BAD will happen If you don't fix it. Do the spark plug wires make a difference in performance?

For a quick fix, until I drive the car again in the Spring, I just took a Zip Tie and put it around the second and third plug wires on driver's side and tightened it up just enough to get the second wire from resting on the header. It is temporary but it does the job. I think I am going to buy one of those high temp boots for a permanant fix though. I dont like looking down there and seeing a F...... zip tie around my wires!
