my buddy dynoed his car. Its a '02 trans am 6sp w/ lid, cut-out and a tune. He bought it that way. So basically a stock car still IMO. Dynoed 352/350. Sounds pretty damn good to me. What do stock ls1's usually put down. Now were puttin on some LT's and ORY. Wonder what he will gain then.

wow those are some insane numbers....almost too high to believe, not saying anything just saying those number are ridiculous, normally i would give that car 320ish

I agree, i would be taubr's buddy with the trans am, car went 12.66 on a 245 nitto drag radial two weeks ago. 1.8 60 t. I was happy with it, but i this normal for these cars to be this fast with just a tune, car is full weight and the only other thing it has is a 4.10 gear and a clutch(spec stage 3). Im not complaining, just wondering what other cars with similar mods(not many) are putting down.

diff heads/cam in the 02.....and no egr :judge:

Anywho, I went 12.3 @114.xx in my 01 with lid, LTs, TSP ORY and a magnaflow catback. Also had 4.10 gears and one tired ass stock melted clutch that was sticking to the floor by the end of the pass.

No way in hell are they SAE numbers.....my car put down 341/356 with the exhaust in my sig without the heads and cam or rearend.

Very hard to believe that these numbers are corrected

My camaro stock with only a lid dyned 320/336. Lid ONLY no tune by the looks of the stock plugs replaced looked rich(this was in 2002). How much is a tune worth, idk.

Should say on the sheet if it's STD, SAE, etc....

SAE (corrected) numbers are usually lower than STD numbers. If you have the sheet post up.

whats the differance between the 2 and what do they stand for?? And what forum should it go it?? There is no "dyno forum" so i put it here since i drag race my car and i want to see what other drag cars are dynoing............. makes sence to me. Sorry if i offended you sir.

STD=uncorrected. What it put down on dyno.

SAE=corrected for weather/altitude.

More on SAE http://wahiduddin.net/calc/cf.htm

There is a dyno section if you scroll up. No big deal (to most). It will get moved there anyway.

Me and my buddy went back and it was SAE corrected. And its a dynojet dyno. He bought the car like that from the dealer. We go out all the time and wack other ls1's with bolt ons all the time so his car is deff. making some good power. It also hangs right next to my buddys bone stock '02 camaro with a 100 shot. Right next to it. We checked for rockers and there stock. Dunno what else to look for thats aftermarket. Only thing i can think of is its got one HELL of a tune.

Those are some very good numbers for the mods. There is always the chance of an LS6 cam being in there, just a thought.....

FWIW my car with only a lid dyno'd 321/331, and ran 12.90s@108-109 with 2.0xx 60fts on street tires. I installed longtubes, ory, and a hooker catback and it made 336/349. Then I finally got it tuned and it made 354/373, and it ran 12.5s@112, with 1.9xx 60fts. Lastly I installed a set of 4.10s and it ran 12.30s@113 dipping into the 1.8xx short times.

Your buddies car sounds strong, get to the track this spring and air that thing out :judge:
