Simple answer... NO. There are tons of threads where people have modified ratchet shifters to fit in F-body consoles. Some guys have used a 6-speed console and boot. I have considered doing this myself. I have attached a picture that I found on this board. I don't know who's car this is... Maybe some of the guys that have done it will post up.

subscribing. TCI makes a bad azz shifter that has grip like handle with a button on the top to use for a transbrake or nitrous.

that would be sweet if it can fit in there without much modification.

I think aftermarket companies believe that if you have an AT, you must be boring, so they don't make anything for us.

well you don't exactly need an aftermarket shifter for an electronically controlled transmission.

has anyone ever lowered their handle? If you use a dremel you can cut the notches for teh staple to hold the shifter lower on the shaft, and as long as you keep the same distance between the staple cuts and the top of the shaft and the white plastic rod, you can do it right? I've been thinkin about this for years. Has anyone done it?

So would I, and I even called Mr. Gasket 10 years ago when the Hurst Firebird prototype pictures were released, asking to buy the shifter. They told me they never made more than one.

So, I now am settling for this shifter ****.
