Default knock sensors required?

are the knock sensors required for the genIII motors to even startup and run? I know the function of them and I'm not going to use them on my EFI swap to my genI motor. just need to know if the motor will function fine without them plugged in.

btw, I will be disabling all knock sensor codes within the tune file so the ses light wont be a problem.

thanks,

jake

If you just unhook them, the ECM will pull full KR whenever entering PE. You have to goto their respective tables and 0 them out.

ok cool. I figured it shouldn't be a big deal. I use HPTuners so it'll be pretty easy to get it done right and for good. btw the efi swap is a custom ls-based MPFI system I'm building for the genI 350 in my sandrail. it'll be fun once it's all done

thanks again for the help

jake
