Default how much will an airbag repair cost me?

Well my airbag light has been on for a long time, im not driving it as much so i guess I should get it fixed. After doing some research here, it seems that the problem is probably that the clockwork spring broke in the steering wheel.

How much do you think this will cost me?

thanks

out of both of my cars no airbags popped

the camaro got clipped on the front passenger lightly, only bent the bumper bracket at best, and the pass. 1/4 pannel got all fucked up but we pulled it all out and filled it in with bondo so its bags didnt pop. the t/a got hit while it ws parked and turned off so the bags couldnt pop then either.

airbags are a pain in the **** to replace and theyre expensive plus they bust our damn windsheilds, so I lucked out

well my airbags are intact, so I dont think I need new ones, I think that its something with wiring or something else.

Its too cold to start taking stuff apart so ill just let someone else do it,

earlier this year I attempted to start taking apart the steering wheel and some weird stuff happend I but I posted here but it diddnt get much feedback:

I think im going to take it to a electrical specialist because im having some other problems (if I let my car sit for more than 2 days it dosent have enough juice to start)

im starting to think that all these problems might be related.

My 93 did that. Turns out the dome light wouldnt turn off and it slowly killed the battery.

Why not unplug the battery and dive deeper into the steering wheel?

clockspring is 188 from gm if it has steering wheel controls and about 1.5hrs to change it. Expect about 250 or so. But must shops are going to want and diagnose it for sure before they change it just to cover their ***. I hate it when people bring **** in to us tell us fix this and then bitch when it did not correct the problem but hey they diagnosed it not me so it's not my fault. But you get the drift.

188 from GM Parts direct or from the dealer??? I was quoted about 100 on these a couple years ago from the dealer. My price could be out of date but that sounds like a huge increase.
