Default Normal for VE Table to exceed 100%?

I added headers and a Balckwing . Went through it and did a VE/MAF tune. Some of the cells were in excess of 100%, (max 107%) @ 4400 and higher map readings.

In comparing my VE table with 2 other VE tables with headers/h/c, I noticed their VE tables topped out around 99%.

Questions is: Is it normal for modified motor to achieve >100% in VE tables?

I believe that just compares it to a number that you set up. So it would be possible but probably bad practice. The exact thing you are talking about is why I liked how LS1 Edit did their VE. Easier to think in the numbers and units you are actually working in.

yes, its normal. VE numbers are only numbers, just put them where they want to be.

Thought so. Just could not .understand why another car with same motor and better cam and heads would have a VE table that topped out at 99%! This was a tuned car as well.

FWIW hptuners shows you VE on LS1's in % rather then the raw # just to be more user friendly. Thats why the max % is like 367% if im not mistaken. So yes, perfectly normal to go over 100 ve.

This is because the other guy could have his IFR rate set differently than yours.

I think that is to high with just eaders. I never got them that high. Did u disable the MAF while VE tuning??? Did u use a Wideband and monitor your cammanded air flow to wideband???? After u set the PE to A/f u wanted??? If not that is y.

AFR WB was no richer than 12.6:1 and no leaner than 12.9:1.

FWIW, When I started to do my VE tune, the car went into limp home mode. I added 20% across the VE tables and started dialing it in from that point.

I might find out this Spring John. I was beginning to think I was the only one who had not done a heads/cam.
