Default dip stick

Does the LS1 use standard small block chevy dip stick or does it have it's own specific dip stick...if it does where can it be sourced? Thanks

I'm fairly sure it's got it's own dipstick. I bought one at a stealership a while back, was <$20 I believe.

Hey you guys. Don't be calling people names. SBC stick will probably be closer to fitting an LT1. The LS1 does have it't own.

You have to get it from the dealer. Tube and actual dipstick ran me $35.

Ask me how I know.

I laid it on the trunk lid of the beater that I was using while I did my header install, and forgot about it. Went to get some food, and pulled out onto the major road that I live on with it there.

Didn't realize it until about an hour later when I had eaten and was starting to put things back together.

Sucks to put on headers and not be able to crank the car.
