Ideas for bumper cover support on 98+ TA?
Ok well I got rid of the impact beam and the foam and wondering what any of you guys have done to keep the bumper from sagging/caving in? Maybe make a little frame inside the cover?? I dunno...give me some ideas.

By removing the impact beam, are you worried about affecting the structural rigidity of the chassis up front? Would there be enough space to fit an IC in front of the 'impact beam' (support that ties the two sides of the chassis together)? Seems like a lot of people just remove it.
Thanks,
Jim

Im going to have a steel tube(about as big as the sway bar) welded in between the two frame rails to help things a bit and not restrict airflow like the impact beam would if you put it there.

yeah it kind of makes sense, if I lean the intercooler up against the foglight holes the bumper wont cave in at all. I was looking at the bumper today and its alot thicker than what I was thinking. Does anyone care to share pics of their setups?
