Default Best cam for 59cc heads?

I'm looking for opinions on what cam to go with my Patriot stage II LS6 style heads (59cc chambers). DCR is a bit tricky with these heads, so what are some proven combos with these heads? I'm looking for power under the curve more so than peak HP numbers.

I was considering the 228R actually. I don't think it will require flycutting, but if anyone has this setup I would love to hear what you have to say.

I'm now considering a 228R on a 112 +2 LSA. That'll drop my dcr to a nice safe number.

I have a g5x3 on a 112 no fly cut. I have 300+ ftlbs at 2500 and it just climbs from there.

No, this one will need flycut due to the larger valves (especially if they have Ferrea)

So if an F13 fits, then the 228r should fit. The only difference may be in the heads. Does anyone know about the patriot heads, whether they are welded to smaller CCs or milled? I think I've heard that they are welded, so they really won't have many clearance issues, especially a cam like the 228r

^you're right, they are welded

i'm not a big fan of 2.02 valves, they do eat up alot of piston to valve clearance, and to me they don't flow much more than the 2.00 valves to be worth the hastle... i just got Patriot 243s milled alittle bit.

Yeap, maybe 5rwhp

But whowever wants the 6.0 "LS6 style" welded heads, I'm almost positive if you talked to Gunnard at PP that they could fit stock valves in those. Then the G5X3 would fit (at least the 114LSA).
