has anyone put a roof console out of a suburban in a camaro or trans am? like between the ttops part? i think itd be awesome to relocate the air conditioning up there and use the space for a custom nav unit. just a thought. My moms got a 99 suburban and it doesnt look like the stock air control unit will fit in but it may i dont really know. What does the roof console look like in the next generation after my moms? Anyone ever done this? any imput guys?

Considering that you'd need to extend a vacuum line as well as a couple of cables, not including electrical lines I'll let you try this out first. I've thought about this before too as well as a few others, but I've never seen anyone actually try it out. Most people just relocate the HVAC to the glove box.

I swapped the roof lining on my old F-body awhile back. There isn't room to run more than small *** wires and I doubt you would enjoy mounting anything to the thin *** roof.
I would say nothing more than a panel with all of your nitrous switchs should go there. They would stiff hang down to much and I don't believe they would be mounted firmly.

I was looking to do something similar, but with guages instead. I know the turbo buick guys have t-top pods for gauges, and newer trucks have roof gauge pods. You could always build your own box to hold the hvac unit up.
