Default Taylor Thundervolt Wire broke on 1st plug change!

I've had the Thundervolts for about a year. Went to change the plugs yesterday for the 1st time since putting the wires on and one of the plug wires internals broke. The part of the wire that connects to the plug. I pulled it straight off and didn't jerk on the wire. Couldn't believe it! Anyone else have this problem?

I can't understand it. When I bought them everyone raved about them. Think I am going to go to MSD's. I doubt Taylor would be willing to do anything about it.

I thought they were the **** after I put mine on...they looked nice, that's for sure. Not many people regularly change their plugs, so that's probably why everyone raves about them. After doing a plug change, they went from being the **** to just plain ****. I'm running the stockers right now...

That's why I'm glad I had kept my stock plug wires...I changed them late on a Sunday, and nobody was open that could get me a set so I could get to work the next morning. No more Sunday night plug changes for me...

I've used Taylors for years, never had a problem. Current set are 5 year old Taylor "409" 10.4mm wires still good as new.

Thundervolt 50's? No problems here but only changed plugs once since installing them.

I have a nice set of 7 myself, same deal, went MSD and
then to LS2 wires (to better dodge the headers).

Will the MSD's have clearance issues with the headers? That's the one thing I liked about the Thundervolt's-they cleared well.

I had straight-boot MSDs (and red - only thing
available at the local speed shop when the Taylor
broke, coming off for header install). The boot there
was up against the pipe when done. Seemed not to
hurt it any but I didn't like the look of it, should it
ever get to high heat. I never fitted up the Taylors,
no point. LS2s clear fine. Angled MSDs would probably
clear fine too. If they had black and angled ones on
the shelf those would still be on my car. But I guess
red is the color of money.

are you guys grabbing them by the wire part or the connection part??? your not suppose to pull on the wire part of course its gonna rip something out if you do it like that. I have taylor thundervolt wires and no problems here at all.

Taylors are pieces of ****. I've gone through two sets. MSD or stock wires are the way to go.
