Need Some Help With these Ebay Heads?????
How about these heads. I won these the other day but don't know **** about them. They looked like a pretty good deal. I will be running the tr224/112 cam. Can I use stock pushrods or do I need to go shorter? Will I still be able to run 125 dry shot? Is there anything else I should do to these heads before I put them on? What kind of gains could I expect from them?

Not much information there to go on. He gave you no clue to the condition or the extent of the porting. It would be nice to know what their flow rate looks like so you can match a cam to them. I'd say your in the dark and just will have to take them to a reputable shop to evaluate them.

Thanks I guess I will just have to take them to a machine shop and get them checked out. As far as the gasket and oil he said he used them as an engine mock up. Not to sure what that means. Do you think its true about the parts being more then $300.00? I have a 2002 ls1, will I have a problem useing these heads on my engine? Thanks for the help.

I bet they'll flow close to 245 cfm. Looks like you got a nice set of fresh heads. They have fresh valves, a new valve job, and a good surface for the head to seal to the block.
Now all they need is to be sent off to get ported.

This is the response from the seller
the heads came off a 2000 model trans-am with 20,000 miles on them. i had him put 2.02/ 1.60 valves in them, he used a machine that can also open up the shroud under the valves. they have not had any more port work done to them. they were also shaved .030. i can get a number for the shop but i doubt he can tell you anything about them, it has been a year since they were in the shop.
