Default 4l60e

Where can i get a 4L60E that will support about 1,000 flywheel hp? Do they have a t-brake that is out that is reasonably priced yet for it?

i think you're in need of a 4L80E or a TH400 at this point. no other transmissions could take that punishment for very long.

I see in your sig. that you already have a th400. Are we talking about the same vehicle? If so I would think about a gear vendors unit or a 4l80e. We have a test vehicle that makes 900hp at the crank. It does need to be freshened up once a year. I believe he has about 100 passes this year on it. The hp that you are talking about is really pushing a 4l60e. Vince

Though I would agree you are pushing the limits of a 4L60E it would also depend alot on primary use. If its a once a month pass down the strip and rest of the time on street tires paying around town then a 4l60e built very well would probably be fine

Yes this is for the same car. It already has a TH400 with a t-brake in it and 4.10 gears out back. This is not very good when i take it on the street. I don't have much top end. The gear vendors unit was a little to high for me. I don't really ever have a chance to drive the car alot. I do take it to the strip whenever possible which is about once a month sometimes once every two to three months. I would rather have the car more set up for the street use.

well i would consider either our level 3 4l60e or the step up the a 4l80e depending on how much time and money you want to put in it but based on what you are saying the level three should be suitable
