Default Changing Rod bolts

What is the easiest way to change the rod bolts out on a automatic car? Do i have to remove the tranny? or should i just drop the hole front suspension? Any advice is helpful in that im going to do this in the next few weeks and am weary about how to do it....

the correct way is to pull the engine completely out and have the engine torn down, then have the rods re-sized/honed with the new rod bolts

the rods were sized with hthe stock bolts and will distort differently with aftermarket bolts

supposedly the katech ones were designed to give the same distortion and loading as the stock ones; so if he used those (and many have) he should be fine.
