Default High mileage Trans Am/Camaros

This is probably the wrong spot for this.

I am interested to hear about some high mileage LS1 Trans Ams/Camaros with original transmission/engine and repairs needed. 62,000 miles on my ws6 nothing to brag about.

Thanks

62k miles is not high and nowhere near it, but these engines are great and you shouldn't have a problem out of them. They will prob last you to 200k miles.

106,000 on mine. Running a 150 shot for about a year and a half, no problems so far. I'm sure there are guys out there with more miles than me though.

125k on mine. I had the bearings in the rear replaced, other than that I'm not sure what else was repaired before I got it at 94k.

My motor lasted a little more than 194,000 before it started knocking and the transmission gave out at about 199,000.

Yeah I have a 01' ws6 w/ 62,000 miles on it and a 98' Cheerokee with 132,000 miles on it, going to try to keep these two as long as possible.

133,000 - t56 broke at 112k which was my fault, broke a ring/diff bolt in rear at 128k, but motor is as strong as ever.

You said it..maintenance is important. Oil changes every 3500 or so, which some say is overkill but it puts my mind at ease. Transmission oil changes and assorted filters regularly also helped I think. I wished the stock motor could have made it to 200K but nothing lasts forever. I am curious as to how many miles the 383 will rack up before it lets go.

98Z28 here that will be hitting 73,000 miles soon. I've had an egr go bad and my stock thermostat go bad. Rear end is clunky but that's the cars way of telling me to change the diff fluid. My 3rd doesn't like to go in gear some times. Other than that car is just fine.
