Default Well I got my port to work at last!

After thinking i had a wiring issue, I just rewired my OBD2 port and changed the blown Cig fuse and got scanned at auto zone. (I hate wires and have been looking at codes for about 1yr)

I have 2 codes

P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow

How do I start on fixing this? I am up for pulling off emissions stuff if i can just delete it out of the computer after I build my motor.

P0100 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Malfunction

I guess the best way to approach this one would be to clean the freaking thing with electrical cleaner, but is there any way to diagnose the MAF by itself?

The reason I have doubts, is that I had an aftermarket one on my car in the past, and got the same code. (unless you have to reset the codes)

Any help on this would be appreciated.

try cleaning your maf with alcohol and a Q-tip.... and make sure your gas cap is down tight. then disconnect your neg battery cable for 5 min and plug it back in. go drive around and see if the codes come back

P0441 Is related to the EGR valve, purge valve solenoid, check to see if there's any visible hoses cracked, broken, or unplugged. Check to see if EGR valve retains vacumm.

P0100 Can't be anything else but the MAF sensor, becareful not to damage the sensor, it is very sensible, do not apply any chemical to it.

Reset memory by removing fuse for the Engine Computer.
