Default Trans length 4L60 and TH400

Guys is the 4L60/65 the same length as the TH400?....the reason i ask is i am removing my 4L65E in a couple of weeks and putting in my TH400 and really want to know if the tailshaft(propeller shaft) will need to be shortened or made longer.thanks

I believe there are different length th400's, you will probably have to measure to be sure.

I will be doing this soon myself

It depends on what length tailshaft TH400 you have. If I recall, a 4" tailshaft TH400 is about 2.75" shorter than a 60E

Your best bet is to measure the centerline distance from the output yoke, to the differential input yoke. On our 1998 Z28, we had to use a 44" long driveshaft (with a 12-bolt).

Close mate it is a One Tonner...same wheelbase as a crewman but only two doors and much lighter(like 1650 kgs vs 2000)
