Default Which oil are you using now?

Anyone switch to Amsoil 5w-40 and have good luck? Do you all use a lighter oil in the winter? What brands and weight are you all using now?

I'm using Mobil 1 5w30 right now but I'm not sure what I'll be using next round since Mobil 1 has been found to not be fully synthetic anymore. Amsoil, RP and the like are all to expensive for my tastes. I know you don't have to change the oil every 3k like you do conventional oil but spending $50 on just oil for a change is a bit steep to me.

I use 5-30 Mobile Clean 5000, Ill plan on changing every 2.5k-3k miles with a AC delco filter, but I my jump up to the NAPA gold truck filter used on the 6.0L motors. Dino oil was used since the car came off the show room #5 and #7 plug are the cleanest of any LS1 ive seen and the motor had minimal cold piston slap, its bearly audible.

It smoked during startup, meaning it was burning oil during start. only for about 5-10 seconds though
