Default free mods for 3.8

Raced a 94 mustang gt today and was dead even the whole way. He wants a rematch on Monday so I was wondering if there were any free mods for the v6 so were not even the whole way. I searched, but only found the mods for the v8 (i guess nobody cares about v6s?)

There's plenty of free mods. There should be a FAQ in the f-body section on fullthrottleV6. It won't be earthshattering, but it will be a noticable improvement on some of the free mods.

I'd say get a whisper lid instead of doing the shaved airlid mod though. Just my two-cents worth...

that 5.0 has a lot more TQ than your V6. sounds like the car, or driver, has some pretty big problems if a V6 firebird is even with it...

that is, unless you only raced till about 40-50mph....

Throttle Body Coolant Bypass (if it's doable on the V6), K&N or Cold Air with K&N (not necessarily K&N's $200 CAI, but just one with their cone filter). That B&M Trans Shifter adapter should help, assuming you have a 4L60E in yours. If you have the 5spd then nevermind that mod. To nay-sayers, it's only $35, and a little shift firmness only helps.
