It sometimes keeps the clutch engaged when i go WOT my motor falls on its face for a couple of seconds then it un locks and starts to pull? does this sound like a tuning issue or trans problem ? Help me out fellas , it dosent disengage the converter clutch with a half trottle blip like it use to...

If you have a scan tool monitor the TCC and see if the PCM is commanding the TC clutch to release. If it is and you do not have a TCC solenoid code then it is probably a converter problem. If you do not have a scan tool you need to take to a shop for diagnoses.

thanks guys it all started after a h/c swap i had trouble getting the converter to lock so i had my tuner(set all the values in the idle, low, and medium misfire tables to 32767.) after that i had a good strong lock up but will not unlock under 1/2 throttle and sometimes dont unlock for a couple of seconds at wot.Does anyone have a similar set up that could send me a ls1edit file to copy? I have 3.73, 4l60e,yank ss 3600 converter

Locked or unlocked
What happens if the tc doesn't unlock during a downshift? Does the tranny still drop down a gear or does it stay in overdrive? I just swapped from 2800 to 4000 stall with no change in programming and now have a weird vibration when downshifting at wot or even 3/4 throttle. Just wondered if this could be related to the same sort of problem.

as for the TCC not disengaging? maybe Yank or Vince can chime in.. sounds like a solenoid or mechanical issue, it was acting "OK" immediately after the tuning correct? then it started acting up?
