depends, what do you want the car to do? do you want a good DD or do you want a drag monster? different plans call for different actions. Give us an idea of what you are going to do with it, and we can give you ideas and a direction to start in

your first mod should be not posting everything in bold...lol but seriously, give us some more details, auto or 6-speed for starters. generally a good mod is an air lid which is about 100 bucks and will give you 10 to 15 hp followed by full exhaust which can give you another 15 to 20 hp for around 500 if you get a used set of pacesetter longtubes, gut your cats, and get a used catback

A K&N filter isn't going to do **** alone. Get a lid.

How much money do you have to spend?

I vote lid, full exhaust, Cam, heads, Fast intake, suspension, rims, tires, stall, 9 inch I know Im missing something but I dont know what.

First thing you should do M6 or A4 is Intake and exhaust. Then A 3000+ stall for an A4 or a set of 4:10 gears for an M6.

If you're on a budget start with a lid, and a cutout, then stall, headers, etc.

IMO opinion heres the order you should go:
1. Lid - any kind
2.Cat-back system
3.Headers
4.Stall if an auto
5.Gears
6.Tune
7. 100 shot of N20, with a new set of plugs

First thing I would do is read all the Stickies in External Engine and in this forum. Next mods is what some of the fellas said. Lid, Catback, Headers. Good luck.
