Default Idle A/F with versa nd 96lb... outcome?

Very few visit the fueling forum, but since most folks with bigger HO are forced induction, I am hoping more people can chime in here than in the fuel section.

I am about to order injectors... I will be runng HP/EFILive (undecided) and am using a VersaFueler ... are people here able to get the idle and transitions in a decent A/F ration area? Would it make the tune /idel easier and perhaps any better with 83's rather than 96's? or not really....
Thanks!
JM

When I bought my Versafueler, I talked to LJ some on the phone. He said that the idle pw on his 72's was over 1 ms, but with the 96's it's under 1 ms and 1 ms is the lowest duty cycle the ECM can command. So, with the 96's, they will be running at 1 ms and it will still be a little rich. Based on his advice, I chose the 83's and it runs 1.0 - 1.2 ms at idle. Hope this helps.

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear...so 83's are the best choice for me.

Who sells the 83's? Is the Versa still needed with them?

Versa is need for any Low-Imp... There are some High Imps said to be near that level, but I never had luck with anything bigger than the Motoron 60's... I think RC engineering has some decent 75lb'ers, but I'm choosing to go big rather than go home.

I can the get a/f numbers to come around but still having drive ability issues and gas mileage is still horrible. The is for sure running rich regardless of a/f numbers but upon leaning it out more it starts to run like it is lean hesitating, stumbling, etc....

I may have some injectors issues i am starting to think. Time will tell i guess.

Im using the injector driver box made by harlan and harlan did the idle and WOT tuning via HPtuners and the MAF T Pro.

I have no clue what i would get with overdrive since i dont have it......
3.73's and 1:1 final drive..... i get around 8-12 MPG...... im not worried... i didnt build this for MPG LOOL

Once someone needs 96lbs injectors who cares about fuel milage. Im just worried about washing the rings by running rich.
