dont worry about then, a mod will take care of it, guess you cant see it

a ls2 motor, will give you more options in the long run as in power for the money...youve already got the displacement and about 100hp over the ls1...you will be alot happier with a 6.0L

100hp LOL!!! more like 40-50rwhp.

Go with whatever you can afford. an 04 GTO is going to be a little less than the 05 obviously. The LS1 and LS2 are both very capable motors which can achieve similiar results after you start throwing mods at it.

You can buy an LS1 GTO for a lot less $$ than an LS2 car, but the LS2 cars have more power, ram air hood, dual exhaust (they exit on both sides of the back bumper instead of 2 pipes exiting on the left), better brakes, etc...I'd spend the extra money for the LS2.

oh ya, forgot to mention that since its a GTO its a pig. An LS1 GTO is going to be a little slower than an LS1 vette due to the weight difference. A stock C5 (maybe with a bolt on or 2) and a stock LS2 GTO are going to run similiar. But that is neither here nor there.

well nitrous is cheap and turbo is expensive as hell, if you can afford turbo then get it for sure... and if you can afford turbo why not just get both??

i agree...LS2. I've raced both and the LS2 surprised me at how well it kept up compared to the LS1. And the hood/exhaust is worth it to me too!
