Default Switching to TD's, have some questions..

My question, where to buy duals besides TSP? I don't want TSPs because I'm wanting to use diffrent mufflers than they have. Do the universal x pipes work? or should I just have some custom made at a shop? ALso how much louder are 3" duals over 2 1/2"?

The universal pipes will work with an additional bend under the drivers side. The headers don't come out parallel to match up with the universal kits. With a welder, you should be able to make it work without a lot of trouble...

+1 for the Bassani Kit. That's what I had on mine. It is a very good quality kit with excellent volumetric xpipe crossover, and it comes in stainless steel which is a sweet bonus.

The kits that are dumped at the axle are too unrefined for my taste because of how loud they are and how much ground clearance they give up.

Universal kits work as long as they have a volumetric (better) xpipe, and as long as you have a good exhaust shop/welder doing the work.

3" is going to be slightly louder and deeper than 2.5". 2.5" is all you need for most applications.
