Default 3/8 and 7/16

can I use a 7/17 stud rocker? do I just need a different stud for a stock LT1 head?

do you mean can you swap to a 7/16 rocker stud size if so yes. if you mean can you use a 7/16 sized rocker on the 3/8 stud then no you cant.

If I were to buy 7/16 rockers do I just need a different studs?

Yes, you can install 7/16" studs.

yes you would need the studs for those rockers, the studs are about $50-60 for the ARPs and it is a nice upgrade to make seeing as you can run guidplates then.

Btw, make sure the studs you get have a 3/8 base, with 7/16 for the top part... otherwise they won't go into the heads very well... trust me on this one. lol. Also, everything I looked up for 7/16 is shown as "BBC", not LT1 anymore. Just FYI

Actually i believe our stock studs are 7/16 base with 3/8 tops I could be wrong but i thought i read it some were i will try to find out.

ya they are 7/16 on bottom so by a full 7/16 stud. Pulled this from shbox.com

Stock studs are 3/8" diameter on the top side. All studs are 7/16" diameter on the end that screws into the head. The heavier duty 7/16" studs are the same diameter (though different thread pitch) top and bottom, so you don't need any machine work to go with the larger studs.
