Stereo & Electronics - Where did you run your 0 guage wire????

I am about to wire a buddy of mines firebird up and he needs 0 guage. so where is the best place to run it? i was thinking of running it under the car but im not sure. please let me know. thanks in advance

I took mine through the grommet on the firewall behind the computer on the passenger side, then down and along the side under the carpet. just take off the molding along the passenger side and fitting it in there is cake.

That is exactly how i did mine and it worked fairly easy. We also did my buddy's car the exact same way..

yea i was thinking about that but i thought it would be a pain in the ass running that huge 0 guage through there.

nah, I have 2 4-gauge cables, and 3 sets of RCAs running along there just fine. When i'm not so lazy I need to condense that mess lol

so you just put it under the carpet or under the plastic piece running along the door?

under the carpet.its not terrible it will fit.

I actually ran mine under the car, find some spots that are out of the way and screw in a "wire loop" as I call them as I do not know the technical name, I've got 4 gauge and will be upgrading to 0 pretty soon when I do my overhaul. Pardon my idiotic wording lol a "wire loop" as I call them is just as it sounds, there is one hole that will drill into the car, when the screw is not in place, the loop will pull apart, put the wire in, screw it down and bam, not going anywhere, I even have some with rubber on them for extra strength and sturdiness! lol I can take pictures if NOBODY knows what I am talking about.

Ill snap a couple, makes it easy with the car on jackstands, actually took me some pondering on how to get it to the "trunk" of the car, to get it over the rear end without interfering with anything it actually ran it right inside the wheel well, there is a small "canal" like thing right at the bottom of it, i drilled about 8 small holes, 4 pairs of 2, about 1 inch away from each other and ran some black heavy duty zip ties around the wire and zip tied it inside the wheel well, you get through that step, drill a hole somewhere un-noticeable, put a grommet on there, and there you have it, took me about 30 an hour maybe... and with it setup like that, your power is nowhere near your rca, which can obviously sometimes cause noise interference.

I have one 0ga and 2-8ga ran from the engine compartment through the stock gromment and down the passanger side. I have my RCA's on the drivers side. :)

Im just about to run the power cable to my amp in my camaro, but i thought running the cable on the side under the molding would be out of the question since i have to fish the speaker wires from the back of the car where the amplifier is to the front speaker. I thought you'll pick up engine noise/ distortion. I was planning on running the power cable down the middle of the car under the carpet so the speaker wires could go up the sides without crossing the power.
