Im building a 408, im shooting for around 850 rwhp on a 300 shot, will arp head bolts be fine or is there something better, if all goes well it will see a 400 shot, I just dont want my heads walking on me

Have you considered ARP head studs?

I would at the minumum go the stud route over the bolts. I have heard of guys using oversized studs, but know nothing about it.

I think that the bolt would be fine. I mean, you are talking big power, but not huge. The studs will just make it easier to change your heads after you pop something with that 300. I have seen procharged cars that were making mid 600rwhp using stock headbolts. But if you want to do it and do it 1 time I would stud the whole motor...mains and all.

is there a difference between the iron block and the aluminum block head studs from ARP? are they interchangeable?
