Just wondering if y'alls 12 bolts are doing anything similar to what mine is doing.

Apart from other problems I have for the most part ironed out, the rear end is making a 'clunking' noise when I put it in reverse or sometimes starting out in first gear. I mainly notice it when the car has been sitting for a while and I back out of a parking spot. It's just a single clunk like the posi is locking or something. It also seems like it might be the driveshaft moving a bit...dunno.

I checked the d/s to see if there was any play...didnt seem to be. Really seems to be coming from the pumpkin. Ive got some whine in the rear...but nothing too bad, and I expected some with a heavy duty rear. The rear has only had about 3 or 4 hard launches on it since I put it in back in February. I have noticed that occasionally only one tire spins when Im hammering it on the street around corners mainly. If I purposely do a burnoff in a straight line, I dont think Ive ever had just one wheel spin. Both wheels currently spin when I spin one of them while its up on jackstands...so...the posi doesnt seem to be shot.

Any opinions/similar experiences welcome...

I haven't noticed any clunking noises in mine.It is not good to do burnouts arounds corners though. That will burn the posi out quickly.

Well... I dont intentionally do burnouts around corners, I just like to carve em...and come out fast...and with 380 at the rear...well...you know...

ouch, I was not aware that sharply rounding corners would burn the posi out

I'll bet it is an installation problem.
