Autozone cleared codes...idles funny
When autozone cleared my SES code, could it have wiped out my computer's idle? I mean, it acts JUST LIKE when I first put the new IAC on. Does clearing the SES at autozone re-set the computer and I just need to let it re-learn things? IT has been a day or 2 and it just idles wierd, rpms rise or hang at 2500, ect. sometimes, I key on/key offed it after letting it idle for 5 mintues and it seemed ok for a while, acted up again, key on/key off and its been ok since, is it just re-learning stuff? Would clearing SES re-set it?

Try the idle relearn proceedure that I mentioned to you before. It can't hurt.

The ECU probably has to relearn the idle and a few other parameters if you installed a new IAC valve. Give it a few drive cycles, it should return to normal. If not, something else might be wrong.
I installed an intake on my friends car, (not an F-Body), and even after unhooking the battery, the engine was idleing at 400 RPM's, due to the increase in incoming air. After about 2 drive cycles the ECU re-learned the idle, and it was back to around 700 RPM.

No issues now, the IAC was replaced a thousand miles ago or so. Wierd, did just fine today after I did the idle re-set a few times (idle for 5 minutes undisturbed, shut off, re-start). Guess it was being an ***. Also cleaned teh crap out of the PCV valve (it had some nasty carbon looking chunky crap that I blew out with carb cleaner, it rattles like normal now, it rattled before, but with reluctance it seemed).

It behaved JUST LIKE when it got the new IAC. I re-learned the idle again and it has not done it since. I think that was the issue.
