Default buying/installing ls6 intake questions

I have a '99 z28 and I am going to be buying a ls6 intake for it. I see they sell them with and w/o EGR. Which do I need to get. Also, how easy are these things to install. Does it come with all the gaskets and hardware? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

if you are buying it new then it should come with gaskets, if not, and the ones on your current intake are in good shape you can reuse those.

its a fairly easy swap, probably take you around an hour. the brake booster line is notorious for breaking the oil pressure sender, move that out of the way before you pull the old intake off or you will be replacing that too.

I just installed a LS6 Intake and it was rather easy. Here is a site that has some detailed instruction.

If you plan on getting it tuned and you don't have to pass emissions then get it without the EGR. If you get the one without and don't get it tuned your check engine light is always going to be on. There is no real HP gain by removing the EGR, just cosmetics.
