I put 4.30's in my 10 bolt & have drove it pretty damn hard since then (about a month) and am having NO PROBS at all so far.....It feels alot torquer & responsive as hell.....barely a whine at high speeds but am very happy so far:) By the way, thanks Kaliente for the awesome write up, my father & I did the installation & it only took 2 hrs to do.....we didn't experience any complications whatsoever :headbang:

Just let street tires spin, it'll save the 10-bolt. When you add slicks and hook that's when it's toast.

I abused my 4.11's with a cammed Incon Twin Turbo making 600+ rwhp and my 10 bolt held. :drive: They just spin when you floor it in 4th gear on the interstate. :jest:

Just curious as to where you found 4.30 gears for the stock 7.625" 10 bolt rear. I usually see the gears jump from 4.10 - 4.56's in the catalogs.

You know you are asking for trouble by saying your 10 bolt is holding up :jest: Don't jinx yourself!!

Glad my install page could help you out, enjoy!

They came in Isuzu's and mail trucks.

LOL, I know.....living on the edge :eek2: When I was doing the install, the internals look brand new....no wear at all, I was truly amazed how clean everything looked.....matter of fact I used pretty much all the original bolts, pinion bearing & crushsleeve & everything lined up perfectly. I did change my pinion seal while I had it apart but everything was easy as pie :drive: I used a lift which made the install alot easier......maybe I'm lucky with how everything turned out, installing gears was a cinch :)

Cool, so you bought them used? Or ordered them from a stealership? I have 4.10's now... I want to see where they put me in the lights. 4.30's might put me at a better spot going through the traps. Plus, I'll know what I want inmy 12 bolt when I can afford one.

I bought them used for $80.....was gonna get 4.10's, but since the 4.10's are $200 (GM gears) I figured the 4.30's was a no brainer, purchased em on ebay, they looked brand new when I got em:)
