There are a few choices
Federal mogul main bearing sets are:
7298m are stock replacement aluminum bearings with a 1/2 groove.
152m are a race bearing, tri metal with a 3/4 groove.
Federal mogul rod bearings 2555cp ( which are SBC large journal)
King makes both but don't know there part numbers
Clevet 77 makes rod bearing but not mains

well what would be better for endurance use. not daily driving, but for road race inviroment. we are talking 20-40 minutes of 6K-6.8K, 8 times a weekend. advantages/disadvantages of the 1/2 and 3/4 groove. and i'm not sure what you are refering to as the "groove".

i also spray the motor w/ a TNT 100 shot 4-5 times a year. looking @ 450+ n/a and 530+ w/N2O for HP. 420+ n/a and 660+ w/ N2O for TQ. everything will be studded and ARP'ed.

I just had a stroker short block built up at Hans Feustel's shop and used that timing chain from SDPC. KING Main bearings were used, since they came with the stroker crank. The supplied KING rod bearings did not have enough side clearance to the liking of the builder with the crank so they used Clevite 77 CB-663H rod bearings. I am selling the KING's for $40 since I can't use them. They are the Pro-Series C848L STD
