Default Paint SS scoop or get the black decal from 02 SS's

i have a 01 midnight blue Z28 and am getting the hood painted in acouple days. I still can decide if i should paint the ss scoope black and run the black to the points in the front of the hood or if i should just buy the black decal that lays in the ram air scoop and leave the rest of the scoop blue. Im also thinking of doing a satin black beger on the back of the car. Does anybody have pictures of painted or decaled ss hoods? Thanks for your advice.

If you aren't quite sure, then don't do it. Get the decal and be done with it.

He's talking about two different things guys...

1) PAINTING on the Manta

2) Buying the satin INSERT from the 35th Anniv. cars

He's not talking about painting the Manta or buying the Manta...

Anyways, I would do BOTH... Paint the Manta on the scoop AND buy the insert for it as well...

Make sure the Manta is pinstripped as well AND extend it to the spoiler/deck:

Then just buy the insert for $17:

I say if you getting anything painted, then ONLY do the manta, if you have the 35th style paint in there too, it might look overdone IMO

IMO, only do one or the other. If you do both there'll be too much black there. Paint is the ONLY way to go... stickers are for Hondas... haha

I agree i think painting the manta is the way to go. I have never been a big fan of the look of a camaro but I have to say that the one above is making me think twice that is a really good looking car.
