I just run one breather on the driver side filter and it works great. Do some searches on breather setups and you'll find a nice solution.
You can buy a cheap oil cap, drill a hole in it, then stick an autozone special in it.

How do you know the catch can isn't working. Oil in the intake takes some tome to go away. You can try spraying seafoam's deep creep in the intake or take it off and clean it.

I had 1 on my silvy with LPE GT1, heads, 5.3. It got about half full in 2k miles so just out of curiosity I put a second one after the first one. I checked them about 500 miles later and they both had the same amount in them. They both had filters and held about 1/5 qt. I gave up on it.
