Hey guys, my name is Chris and I am new to this forum. I've been snoopin around for the past week and decided i wanted to get in on discussion about our cars. I have a 2006 Impala SS (white) that i have tinted out, 15% on back 5 windows and 35% on the front two.
Im looking into upgrading my headlights. I want something that can and will light up the road quite a bit better than stock do now. I know there are some people on here that have upgraded, so i would like some opinions.
Thanks Guys, I will be patiently awaiting responses.

Only option right now is HID. No silverstars yet. There's an active thread about HID already.
...unless you've got the money for an HID Projector Retrofit.

You mentioned the projector kit before. Did you find out what it would take or is there a kit for our car? Explain the retrofit.

Howdy and welcome! I can't help with the light question though, good luck.

I think the HID's are the best. Ever since I first got them I haven't gone back.(Til now christmas set me back)Check out coolbulbs.com they show you the difference. They are too expensive though.

Manolo...check out this link: http://www.hidretro.com/
For about $1400, you could get a set of HID projectors mounted into OEM headlights. Looks pretty sweet...and you can add options like BMW "Angel Eyes" for an add'l charge. I little out of my price range, though. :eyes:

But you don't want HIDs for your Highs, though...they don't respond well to "flashing" and that's what you'd be doing with your highs most of the time. I believe they've been tested and you should expect to see 1/4 of the life on a set of high beams due to this fact.
As i may have mentioned above, my 8000k HIDs are up for sale...i paid $236 two weeks ago and am looking for $200. I've got a For Sale thread started in that section. PM me if interested.
