Default HELP!!!! Oil consumption?

I have a new 383 LS1 with Patriot 5.3 heads and cam. The Machine shop that took my block out .005 did not use a Torque plate. The heads were back off the motor last week and there are smooth spots in the cross hatch machining in all cylinder walls that they did. They said this was fine and there was not issue. I paid them to put new valve seals in my heads and new head gaskets and I have 300 miles on my car since they completed this and I have used a quart of oil allready???? The motor has 4700 miles on it since the initial build and has allways used oil. They are trying to say that it is crank case pressure due to the LS6 Valley pan PCV set up I have on my car. I have a filter on the oil filler in the valve cover and the LS6 Valley pan with LS6 PCV hose. I have little to no oil in the intake?? Let me know what you guys think???

can I rule out the PCV set-up causing crank case pressure? This is what they are blaming it on!

What should compression be? I only tested cylinders #2=155, #3=152,#5=160. I am at 11 to 1 compression? I would think that 185 psi should be where it should be?

comp depends on your cam.
just as long as there not a big variance between cylinders.
comp and leak down tests won't show bad oil rings though

did you use thread sealer/loctite on the rocker arm bolts?

I had a shop assemble engine for me. They build some pretty outragious pulling truck engines and old school drag car engines.
