I was puting the timing cover on my LS2 402 from Texas Speed & I noticed
a flat machined area between the chain on the block above the crank gear
with 2 bolt holes.After looking at an 04 GTO schematic at the local Chevy dealer it shows a dampner that goes there.I don't think I need it,especially
with the double roller timing chain.Anybody know what I'm talking about?
