Default 96# vs 160#

I was planning on running 96# injectors on my turbo setup. But a good deal popped up on some 160# injectors. I will be running Big Stuff 3. This car is a 391 LS2 w/ T88 turbo.. Probably going bigger in the future. Will be street driven a decent amount.. and raced a decent amount as well.

Just wanted to know what you thought about running 160# injectors with this.. I know it will be a little harder to tame at idle.. but how bad will it be.. Or will it just flat out be too much injector? I will be putting down 900rwhp with the new fuel system.. and over 1000rwhp with a few more planned future upgrades..

If you drive the car alot and want it to idle good and not foul plugs, then try to make 96's work.

I love your car by the way.. Just thought I'd throw that out there.. You're running 96's right?

How much power are you trying to make? I decided to scrap my 96# injectors for 160# injectors on the new TT setup.

Well.. I was seeing if I should plan ahead or not.. I plan on maxing out the T88.. Then moving up to a VERY large T6.

Yeah... I will be running twin GT42Rs on my built 408 with ET240cc heads. I figure I will be better off planning ahead than running out of injector while tuning the car. Stenod will be building/tuning my GTO for me in a month or so.

Thank you. Yes I am running 96's, but also on a stock computer, we tried 160s and they absolutely sucked, most of the time the car wouldnt restart due to min. pulsewidth, the car idled like a methanol car and drove terrible. I know that the bs3 will have alot more control over those injectors. What are your goals for the car now and after the bigger turbo?

Well.. My setup is similar to yours.. Except I have a 391 LS2. worked over stock ls1 heads. rocking the T88 turbo... th400. neil chance convertor. good suspension. Heavy *** pig though.. Tranny is getting rebuilt and going back in soon. Then redoing the fuel system w/ 96# injectors and BS3.. Then it's test and tune time.

shooting for 9xxrwhp ... and some low 9s .. I'd love to see some 8s.. which is the ultimate goal.. too heavy for that though. so probably going to t6 flange in the future w/ a LARGE turbo.. I PMed you as well.
