rpm drops how much between shifts?

Default rpm drops how much between shifts?

when shifting at say 6500 from 1-2 then 2-3 then 3-4 how many rpms does it drop?

On my data logger I see about a 1200 rpm drop for 1-2 and the 2-3 shift and 1500 on the 3-4.

after the hp peaks should you cary the rpm for that much be for you shift again?
6000rpm peak and hold to 7200-7500 till i shift
OR
6000rpm peak and hold to 6700-6800 so it fall right be for the peak?

I hope you aren't revving a stock LS1 to 7200.

Basically shift when your power is starting to run out and the band is going down.

i have a stock bottom end and on the dyno i went out to 7400 and at the track shifting @ 6900

i think he ment reving over the stock rev limit is pointless with a stock cam.

and you swaped out your cam so you change your rev limit and shift points

when i was stock internals i was shifting at 6400, yeah then 7k woulda been to high

No, you don't want to shift so it falls back to the power peak. You want to shift after the power peak so the rpms fall to before the power peak, leaving you the highest average hp in each gear.
