She was going 15mph around a corner, hit the curb and broke a piece off the rim off her car. I took it for a spin, the alignment is jacked, stearing wheel is at a 45 deg angle.

My wife did that to me once in the cold rain one nite. I was pissed and she had the nerve to tell me the truth that she wasn`t paying attention. For once I just wished she lied and made up a story.

Your suspension might have to be replaced as well, You might need to get your insurance company involved. Chalk one up for "women can't drive for ****"

LOL, yall are taking this waayyyy overboard.

You're probably looking at a bent tie rod, and you'll need a new wheel. As that one is broken/bent....

It doesn't take much to get the alignment out of track, on any car. First things first, put the car up on jacks and eyeball it. Bring it to your Mechanic, and have him look at it quick.

And yet we have the higher insurance rates

I'd really be interested in seeing the stats that say men are worse drivers.... If I had a dollar for every time I've seen a girl on a cell phone doing something stupid... then well I'd have enough to pay for something expensive.

And I'm with ya erik.... my girl can't drive stick... and thats half the motivation to get a m6 on my next car haha.

get the alignment checked just to be on the safe side, if it was hard enough force to break the wheel, it could have easily bent something. Never hurts to get a front end alignment, I do one about once or twice a yr.

took it today, they wouldnt even do an alignment, cause of the busted rim. Ordered that the day it happend, but they crawled under it and found the LCA was bent. Car is to new for aftermarket so I gotta pay OEM prices $~$300. And they wanted $250 to install it..no thanks, it will be a weekend project.

Just remember to pre-load the arm, before you tighten it. Raise the wheel up on a jack or something if you're doing it at your house. Then tighten it to spec.
