Default trick flow heads put down the power!

here it is, this is my christmas present to myself.

I am in bakersfield for xmas with the family. Had my little sister with me for a ride and hit 2nd gear a bit hard I guess. I will drive another car home tonight pick up the race rig and drive back to bakersfield tuesday and pick the wounded csex up and get it home for repairs. so 700 extra miles of driving and a few damaged parts on one helluva good time.

Looks like you have a valid reason to upgrade your getrag at this time
At least you had some fun with it prior to the "little" mishap.

Did the neighbors say anything about the mess? cleaning gear lube is not too much fun

On an 05 it will bolt right up. Just need to fab a mount on the rear K member. The C5 bolts up right in the middle of the rear of the case, not on the sides like the C6 does. The cases are a little stronger and a whole lot cheaper. I got a built C5 rear installed for slightly more than a C6 core would cost me. That included a C5 core and the fab work. It was done by Cartek, I don't have a TIG to weld the aluminum.

MAN that sucks BRO, what tires were you running when you fragged your rear end and tranny output shaft (same type of carnage I have experiencee at the dragstrip in my old 427 C5R powered Auto Tranny C5)!! Hopefully, you have a perf tech friendly GM dealer otherwise time to open up the wallet to the tune of about $3,000.00 (minium)!

Mine broke in exactly the same way. Wheel hop. That broken output shaft will hurt a bit. But, while its out, have the tranny remmed and tightened up. Make lemonade.

I have broken 2 with wheel hop and street tires. Both looked like someone threw a granade inside. Pieces were everywhere and oild all over the road. Both times the tranny output shaft broke and went through the rearend case destroying it. So I bet your out a tranny output shaft as well.
