Default shorty/midlength headers and ca emissions

can i run midlength headers with cats and pass emissions tests?

is it visual that i will fail or the actual measured tests? also will high flow cats mess up the tests?

if its visual im not too worried because people dont know crap about ls1's here

even the dealer didnt notice when i swapped out the exhaust, y pipe, and the stock induction stuff

You can pass easily with longtubes. shorties make it so you pass visual inspection. It keeps the cats in the stock location, which is a technical requirement of the law.

What exactly are you asking? High flow cats (i.e., Magnaflow) will allow you to pass the sniffer test, but any type of mid/long tube header is not legal.

Like you said though, lots of places don't know better, and therefore won't know that you have LTs.
