chevy motor in mustang frame
Friends of mine and myself are working on a "creation" We were woundering if anyone else has done a chevy motor in a mustang hatchback(79-93) body. SOmething different. What have you done to make it run transmission wise. We have a TREMEC TKO 600 going in it. Thanks

Are you kidding me? An SBC swap in a Mustang is the most common thing ever, I have seen ALOT at the track and two on the street around here. LS1 swap is another story though.

WOW. Didn't realize it was a common swap. Not for central Mass I guess. LOL. THank guys!
On that note though. My work/ Fortes Part Connection(www.fortesparts.com) better to call
We have the connections to hook up the linkage for the TKO's. Just for your info/

So in the first post you're asking what we're doing for a transmission, but in the last post you're saying that your employer Forte's has all the transmission answers.
Did this thread just turn into a commercial?

Well, I am asking what other people have done. I am running an automatic because its gonna be racing only.
I didn't word it correctly though. Thanks for the tip:
For people who want the t-56 in their "chevy stang" We have the parts needed to set it up.

As long as we're on the topic, my nephew picked up a 88 Mustang roller, and I want to start collecting parts with him. I want to push him to go Ls1 but he has a greasy old small block chev stash in the barn. What did you use for headers with LSx as well as SBC engine? Thanks, MV
